The legal bit

Privacy, plainly.

No legalese. This page explains exactly what happens with your information on zachbashir.com, in plain English.

Who I am

This site is run by Zach Bashir, a content creator based in Hokkaido, Japan. For anything privacy related, email info@zachbashir.com and you’ll get me, not a department.

What I collect

One thing, mainly: your email address, and only when you type it in yourself to join the Sushi Sundays newsletter or to receive one of the free guides. Like most websites, the server also keeps standard technical logs (things like IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.

What it’s used for

Sending you what you asked for: the newsletter, the guide you requested, and the occasional update from me. That’s it. I never sell your data and I never share it with anyone for their marketing.

Who handles it

Three services process data on my behalf: Kit (the email service that stores the mailing list and sends the letters), Bluehost (which hosts this WordPress site), and Dropbox (which hosts the guide downloads). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you’re gone, no hard feelings, no follow-up. If you want your data deleted entirely, email info@zachbashir.com and I’ll remove it.

Cookies

This site keeps cookies to the minimum needed for it to function. No advertising trackers.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything significant and I’ll say so in the newsletter.
